Cultural Storytelling Through Design

The Quetzal puppet is modeled after Guatemala’s national bird, a long-standing emblem of freedom and cultural heritage. Each toy is paired with a Maya inspired codex artwork, using glyphs and traditional design elements to present the Quetzal’s story in visual narrative. The packaging also incorporates motifs from Palencia textiles, developed in collaboration with a Guatemalan artist. By integrating these artistic details, the product reflects a thoughtful connection to Guatemala’s history and craftsmanship.
