Built by dog parents who got tired of running out.

Luna, Millie, and Nova are sisters. They’re also notorious poop walkers. With the bags rolled up in a dispenser, we were always guessing how many were left.

Then one walk, we saw someone pick up after their golden retriever with a napkin. By the time we realized, it was too late to offer a bag.

So we built the warning system we wished existed. Three red colored bags at the end of every roll, so you always know.

FAQs

Are your bags earth friendly?

Compostable bags are the most earth friendly option only if disposed at an industrial facility that supports dog waste or at home under strict conditions. If that's you, we commend you and hope to support that option in the future as we grow. For most pet owners, that's not a feasible option. According to a paper published in Environmental Science & Technology by NC State, putting "bio bags" in the landfill could actually be worse for the environment because they can generate methane which is a more intense greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide and worse if not captured or used. That's why our approach is to become Earth Besties. Today, our bags are made of 65% post consumer recycled plastic which uses plastic that has already served a previous life and was diverted from the waste stream. Today, 65% is the right balance of recycled content while ensuring high integrity materials. We have already engaged a plastics research facility to investigate increasing the amount of recycled plastic while still keeping it durable for everyday use. Your support in our growth will help us further fund this research.

Are your bags thick and leak proof?

Yes! Our bags are 15 microns thick and they won't leak or your money back.

How big are your bags?

Our bags are 32 cm (12.6 in) tall and 22 cm (8.7 in) wide. Good for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

What size if your roll and will it fit my holder?

Our rolls are 5.9 cm (2.3 in) tall and 3 cm (1.2 in) wide. They fit most standard roll holders, but measure your existing roll to be safe.

Do your bags open easily?

Yes, our bags are 15 microns thick and have a good feel between your fingers so they open easily when you need them.

Where are your bags made?

Our bags are designed in the USA by a family run business, and made in China by our good friends. It took us 5 years to bring this product to market in a way that can be manufactured at a large scale. We tried over a dozen factories and only one partner believed in us enough to work closely with us to bring this product to life. They've even told us that no other designer has come to visit them before. Working with them to develop the product has been one of the most rewarding experiences of this journey, and we ensure that they are working under appropriate safety conditions.

Is your packaging earth friendly?

Yes, we use FSC certified packaging supporting responsible forestry with mixed recycled materials.

Are your bags scented?

We are not fans of the lingering chemical smell that scented bags leave on your hand or in your bag. We hope to support scented bags in the future as we grow, but we need more time to find the right pleasant scent that is not overpowering yet neutrlizes the smell.

Do your bags have that annoying sticker that always rips the first bag?

No! We developed our own hoop that slides right off, so you can get going with no fuss!

How many bags are red at the end of the roll, and how does the color warning system work?

The roll ends with 3 red bags, so you know before you run out. The red bag is connected to the last green bag using a perforated sticker. For best results, fold before tearing it.

How many bags are in a roll?

Our rolls have 15 bags.

How many rolls do I get in a box?

Our box comes with 12 rolls. That's about a 3 month's supply at 2 poops per day. We offer a subscription offer if you want to save money and not forget about ordering.

How do I open your box?

We created a unique box design that also dispenses the rolls. Place your finger through the window that says "TEAR HERE" and strip off the front perforated section to dispense the rolls.

Why is the brand named Milunova?
